We’ve been following the players who’ve jetted off to Europe quite closely, but what about the guys back home? What are they all up to? Sure, you’ve got guys like Max Talbot organizing games in Quebec for fans with profits going to charity (big props) and Paul Bissonnette’s been, well, his usual biznasty self.
But what about the other guys? Well, according to Rangers star defenseman Michael Del Zotto’s Twitter, he’s working hard for his money. In a grocery store. In Oak Ridges, Ontario. And hey, I’ll never knock someone who earns an honest buck, but, he is a millionaire, right?
There’s a part of me that wonders what his angle is. Does he know the owners? Is he actually doing heavy lifting and collecting $11 an hour? MDZ, what the hell’s the story here? We’d love to know. One thing is certain, some of these guys really don’t know what to do with their new found free time. #FreeThePlayers?
